Thales partnering "LabLine for the future"

Air France officially launched its "LabLine for the future" initiative on Tuesday, October 21st at Toulouse airport during a ceremony which brought together officials and partners, including Thales.

LabLine for the Future is an initiative rolled out by Air France for sustainable development and regroups, in partnership with industry players and institutions, diverse projects encompassing biofuel, reduction of weight, consumption, etc.

The first initiative concerns biofuel and consists of a weekly flight of Air France between Toulouse and Paris-Orly, with a plane that uses 10% of sugar cane biofuel. This trial will last until the end of September 2015.

Thales is contributing to "LabLine for the future" in three domains:

  • Aircraft of the future
  • Weight reduction
  • Fuel gains and reduction of noise pollution
