Spirit Airlines Passengers Enjoy Fast Wi-Fi in the Sky Enabled by High-Powered SES-17 Satellite
Thales’ FlytLIVE service powered by the SES-17 satellite is closing the inflight connectivity gap.
Thales has partnered with Spirit Airlines, a leading carrier serving more than 90 destinations across the U.S., Latin America and the Caribbean, to offer their Guests FlytLIVE, Thales’s state-of-the-art high-performance connectivity solution.
The Spirit all-Airbus fleet is among the youngest and most fuel-efficient in the U.S. Today 100% of Spirit’s A320 and A321 fleet, delivered before June 1, 2022 is flying with Thales’ FlytLIVE high-speed connectivity; additional Spirit aircraft will also be equipped with FlytLIVE.
Spirit’s Guests have access to full Internet services on all Spirit flights on A320 and A321 aircraft, which is more than 80% of their fleet . Guests can enjoy an at home experience in the air that includes video streaming, playing games and connecting on social media using their phone or tablet.
In addition, FlytLIVE will enable Spirit Airlines to develop new features for their Guests and create innovative revenue generation and advertising opportunities.

Using SES and Hughes next-generation aviation satellite network and technology, FlytLIVE will provide Spirit Airlines with the fastest Wi-Fi in sky.
