Thales TopWings EFB to fly on SATA Air Acores

This is the first customer for the highly flexible new version of TopWings, one of the most advanced EFB solution in the market, which will enable the airline to utilise multiple EFB functionalities including electronic documentation and “e-mission” functions such as Operational flight Plan and flight Briefing package interfaced with the ground flight and crew planning system. Thales will provide SATA Air Acores with Mounting brackets and power supply for Apple iPads with the associated Supplementary Type Certificate (STC), together with Thales’s operational approval and on-site installation support. Topwings system will be installed on SATA’s fleet by September 2014 for an entry into service before year end.
