Thales was in Toulouse on 13 January for the official opening of the ISAE-SUPAERO aeronautics and space institute’s new campus.
The official opening of the new campus provided the opportunity to showcase the partnership agreement that ISAE recently signed with the Ecole Polytechnique to forge closer ties and encourage more student exchanges between the two engineering schools. Meanwhile, Thales has also signed an agreement with ISAE to create an "Architecture and embedded systems engineering" chair that aims to develop new ways of learning in this field.
“Technology research and innovation are central to Thales’s development strategy. This new chair reflects the commitment of the Thales Group, and particularly of its avionics teams based in Toulouse, to a policy of active partnership with engineering schools and academic research institutes,” said Philippe Benquet, VP Research & Technology, Avionics.
