"No two flights are identical. In order to progress, we need to calculate, capitalize, and act on detailed data related to the emissions - both carbon and non-carbon - generated by each and every flight." In her latest LinkedIn opinion piece, Yannick Assouad explains why this is so important and how it can be achieved.

She illustrates the various parameters that combine to make each flight unique, and how better assessing and understanding those factors will enable airlines to "activate, adjust and tweak every possible lever", at a time when "the aviation sector is ever more committed to improving its environmental credentials, looking to draw in passengers who are increasingly sensitive to the climate footprint of the flights they take."
