A400M simulator contract praised by UK prime minister
Thales UK's recent multi-million pound contract win to supply the first full flight simulator (FFS) for the Royal Air Force A400M military transport aircraft (now known as “Atlas”) has been singled out as being “exemplary” by Prime Minister David Cameron.
Quoted in the August 2012 edition of Desider, the Ministry of Defence's monthly magazine for defence equipment and support, Mr Cameron is quoted as saying: "In a hugely difficult time in the global economy, UK aerospace is, quite simply, flying."
Minister for Defence, Equipment Support and Technology, Peter Luff added: "I welcome the new A400M simulator which will provide our RAF crews with a challenging training environment that will support the live flight preparation for Atlas, a uniquely capable transport aircraft.”
