Air France convinced by the Thales Pad

In December last year, Air France confirmed the selection of the Thales Pad to be installed in retrofit onboard its entire fleet of 70 B777. Air France particularly appreciated the Thalespad avionics grade (extended luminosity range, anti-glare glass treatment, the Smart Docking Station, hosting power and data connectors and enabling one-hand docking/release).

As part of this contract, Thales will deliver around 180 shipsets of the Thales Pad and its associated Smart Docking Station (DKS) for aircraft attached B777 EFB, flight simulators and spares. Thales Pad will be installed on a mounting system optimized for B777 cockpit, designed by Air France maintenance and engineering, STC owner of aircraft modification.

This will enable the full Air France fleet to become cockpit paperless early 2017.
