Digital Lab opens its doors within Thales's Customer Support Center in Châtellerault!
The new Digital Lab is entirely focused on innovation and aims to incubate, trial and develop new digital technologies. The workspace was conceived in partnership with the Nouvelle-Aquitaine regional ecosystem, with the support of the regional Development and Innovation Agency and the digital professionals network SPN.
During his speech, Eric Huber, director of the Avionics Services Worldwide segment of Thales's Flight Avionics business line, illustrated how the Digital Lab has already become synonymous with “the implementation of new working methods and techniques, and lies at the heart of the conception of new services for our customers. The workspace is open to startups and small and medium-sized companies, customer teams and end users. The ultimate objective is to establish win-win partnerships with all players and to position the area as a key player in the digital world.”
Eric Huber also referenced PartEdge, one of the Châtellerault Digital Lab’s first deliverables, which is a new secure online platform enabling real-time access to Thales spare stocks.
Local dignitaries present included Châtellerault mayor Jean-Pierre Abelin, local MP Nicolas Turquois, Nouvelle-Aquitaine regional president Alain Rousset, and deputy prefect Jocelyn Snoeck. A number of local business representatives were also in attendance, as were regional media players who were enthusiastically covering the event – which was also widely followed on social media.
