Thales helps create new chair

Nov 25. 2015

On 23 November, Thales signed a partnership agreement with the ISAE-SUPAERO aeronautics and space institute in Toulouse to create a new chair. Named ARISE (ARchitecture et Ingénierie des Systèmes Embarqués*), the chair will add architecture and system aspects to the institute’s embedded systems curriculum.

The chair aims to gear academic courses to the medium-term recruitment requirements of industry, which is looking for growing numbers of systems engineers and system/software architects, as well as exploring new research opportunities with ISAE’s laboratories.

Technology research and innovation are central to Thales’s development strategy. The new chair reflects the commitment of the Thales Group, and particularly of its avionics teams based in Toulouse, to a policy of active partnership with engineering schools and academic research institutes.
